With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

Easy installation, good coverage when it’s working. Biggest drawback is the lack of consistency in holding the internet. Goes offline frequently. Updated firmware etc. to no avail. Lack of dependability is frustrating.

Great signal throughout my house with only a 30% drop in MB/s in my basement. 3 kids and a wife who typically stream shows while I game and I rarely experience any lag. Will highly recommend to my other friends that demand more out of their router. Setup was easy enough with the app. Downside being I had to download the app through mobile data (as my router wasn’t set up). The app itself was pretty straightforward, I thought. To get the most out of this router, you need to have a solid modem. Weak modem, this router might be overkill. All in all, very happy.
