With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

I hooked this up to improve on my WiFi connection in an older plaster-walled house with a closed floor plan. The signal quality is amazing with very little to no loss of bandwidth. Other routers seem to have problems with the plaster and even older doors when they’re closed. This router has by far been the best I’ve tried.

Great coverage and speed. Wanted to replace my Apple Airport Extreme and Apple Airport Express. This router outclasses and performs head and shoulders above Apple’s offerings. The range on this Netgear Nighthawk is fantastic. I used to need to use a Apple Airport Express to to extend my network in my house. No extender needed with Netgear Nighthawk AC2300. Great product.

We got this router to replace one that had simply stopped working. I had no idea how much better our wi-fi would be! It was remarkably easy to setup, although I have a very good understanding of this kind of tech, it was almost foolproof. The instructions were clear, and even those who don’t “get” computers etc… should really have no issues. Our wi-fi is so much faster and more reliable now, I’m kicking myself for not doing this sooner. Well worth the price.
