With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

Bought this to replace my Linksys EA4500 (n900) router. I’ve always used Linksys routers in the past but was having issues keeping my 5Ghz connection on my S8. Also my 2Ghz connection was buffering quite often streaming video to my smart tv so I decided to upgrade to this Netgear Nighthawk ac2300 and so far no issues and it has more options, one being the MU MIMO technology. I would recommend this router to anyone.

This router, with existing FO line, increased our speed an average 75 Mbps on wireless devices (now averaging 180 down and a bit more up). Streaming movies and downloads never skip or pause. We don’t game so can’t comment on that. Have not used the Disney Circle but like the option. Also like the option to activate a guest wi-if network. Only downside is Bitdefender is endemic security for the router. In many ways we feel spammed by the emails and notices sent. I know they are a reputable company but I have security covered, for now. It would be nice if I could opt out or turn off this ‘feature.’
