With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

I live in a 3 story townhouse and my Verizon box is in the garage so I had to place this router in the garage. I don’t experience any slowdown or sluggishness on the. 3rd floor when watching Netflix. If that isn’t range I don’t know what is.

Just installed this router. It was the easiest router I have ever installed. It has so many convenient features for the user to enjoy. Iv had only NetGear routers on my personal systems as I know they are fast and secure. And like I said before, so easy to install and running fast.

I don’t have access to internet at the speed rating of this router, so I can’t attest to the full speed, but I will say my original speed was barely 100 mbps with internet rating of 200 mbps. After connecting this router, my speed test results are now 200 – 215 mbps.

Getting max mbps and with MU-MIMO can connect multiple WiFi devices with top speeds. I live in an apartment so with more channel options give no interface with other signal! Best router purchase I’ve could have made with an affordable price.

This thing is absolute trash. The Bit Defender and Disney Circle, are subscription options, not actually built in. The router is SLOW, and has terrible coverage. I couldn’t get a Nestcam to work with this router reliably, that was 15 feet away. Constantly dropped connections and gave ‘poor connection’ messages from the camera, yet it was the only device using this router. I’ve since made it so that only 3 smart switches are on the router, and even then, they have connection issues. Netgear support was 0 help in resolving any issues, and wouldnt open an RMA since “nothing is wrong”. There are thousands of 5 star reviews all pushed into this system in May of 2019, all with essentially the same text, and with computer generated usernames of ‘firstnamesixdigitnumber’ read the 1 star reviews to know what people really think.

Extremely easy to set up. From the box it took about 15 minutes because I had to get the IP address from my carrier. Otherwise, it would have been even less time! The router has great coverage throughout the house. My previous router had dead spots which have now completely disappeared with the Nighthawk. Reviews from several comparisons put this on top for 2018 prompting me to go be it a try. Certainly not disappointed!
