With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

The nighthawk is extremely easy to set up and use, right out of the box. Attach the antenna, plug it all in and before you know it, it’s leafing you through the setup. It’s practically fool proof. The hardest part is choosing your password.

I bought this device JUST over a year ago to replace the R7000 I had used for years and was quite happy with until it just bogged down gave out. I’ve had non-stop signal drops ever since. I add one system and it kicks off another. I have less than a dozen devices in my house and even though I’m in a room 12 feet above the router, I can’t keep a consistent signal for the life of me. I’ve read way too many reviews by other people with the same issue. This device is garbage.

Had the typical spectrum router (which is cheap crap) for a while and our internet was slow and our xbox’s had lag all the time. Since we got our nighthawk router I’ve noticed that our speed has been a lot faster and we all rarely lag when playing Xbox anymore. Paired up with a netgear modum this would be a powerhouse.
