With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

I have noticed that the router does not reach the square footage as stated. I only have a 1600 sq ft house and my router is only 3 rooms away but the connection is terrible. I am not impressed with this router. I had a Asus with a way lower mbps and it worked better than this model. Would not recommend.

Needed a better wifi router to provide coverage to a patio 100 ft from the house. Plugged the Nighthawk in and set it up quickly. A little difficulty when I change the net name and PW but that was resolved fairly simply. Now have 4K TV coverage and a place to get online outside.

the Wi-Fi part of my router is fast and reliable but only if I don’t have anything plugged into the Ethernet switches. I’m not sure what it’s doing but it’ll constantly kick off Wi-Fi if I plug some devices into hardwire. I got around this by using a gigabit switch before the router and just use the router as Wi-Fi only. I think this may be an isolated problem but a problem I’ve noticed nonetheless. The actually Wi-Fi portion is blazing fast and has really good range so can’t complain. I do like it and the lights on the front are super bright which for me is a good thing since it’s like a night light in my hallway.
