With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

The Smart Wifi router is great, especially being able to manage different device connection speeds automatically AND set priorities for the different devices (our TV streaming is set highest so we should never have Matlock interrupted because someone else starts a video conference). The app interface from the phone (even remotely) is also very nice.

I’ve had this router now for about 2 weeks and overall it is definitely worth it. Set up wasn’t too difficult although using the app was not my favorite. It runs very fast and we have had no issues with connections streaming on our tv or other devices. Also get very good coverage all over the house, I haven’t found a spot we don’t connect well yet!

I really love the nighthawk R7000P, it has made my Wi-Fi so much more stable then my old router. I really enjoy the app the you can use with it and the ability to pause each device independently. The indicator lights on the front are also very helpful for telling if the internet is having issues.

As all WiFi routers lose signal strength with age and wear, I was looking for a new one to replace my old netgear router of well over 5-7 years of age. My new Netgear AC2300 Nighthawk reaches parts of the house my old one couldn’t even reach even when it was new. The Nighthawk AC2300 has been a great router for us. We have a large 2 story 3000 sq ft home. Our previous router was not dual band, did not reach more that 50% of our home, and struggled when multiple people were on the WiFi. The Nighthawk has good coverage throughout the entire house and even outside. The dual band is a big plus too! It Nighthawk performs well even when multiple people are using the WiFi simultaneously and I am so glad to have “guest” accounts available for visitor use. It was easy to set up and I love the monitoring and information that the free app offers as well.
