With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

Ive had and tried a few routers in my time, but not a single one can hold a candle to this masterpiece. I run numerous consoles, computers and various wifi devices from this beast (most of which simultaneously) with no degredation or compromise to bandwidth nor speed. I can think of no better router… well aside from netgears gaming router, but i could not afford it yet. Someday maybe, but the ac2300 is more than capable for what i throw at it. Couldnt be happier with my purchase!

Purchased this router as a better wifi solution to the built in router/modem combo from my ISP, and it has worked flawlessly. I read about it’s ability to intelligently combine and switch devices’ 2.4ghz and 5ghz frequencys and for that function it’s been great. The wifi range is stellar as well and reaches about the entire length of my house. The online interface to access the network control is very easy to understand as well. Overall a good experience and easy to use router.

You know, most of the time we blame our ISP because our internet is slow, wifi disconnects, etc. Although it may be the case with the ISP sometimes it could be the equipment you have. After switching from a cable modem combo to a modem and separate router, the internet in my house has been great especially with my nighthawk AC2300 from Netgear. I made this purchase a few days before Christmas while family was visiting. I had 11 devices connected to the WiFi at the time and the internet was flawless. I could tell the difference. My internet was terrible and it was just my wife and I connected. Now I get a whole family with cell phones, tablets, consoles, etc and everything is still going strong. Incredible. I do recommend any of Netgears products and highly recommend getting a separate modem and router. It may cost more but trust me it’s worth it.

Needed a router /gateway to replace the issued Frontier Fios one that just was not cutting it to stream live feeds using the PS Vue service. Paired this AC2300 Nighthawk with the Netgear AC750 wifi extender and it is doing a great job.Currently using two gen-4 apple TV devices plus all the other wifi devices in the house and this router is keeping up just fine.Highly recommended if trying to use one of the online live TV services but you will also have be running a stable high speed internet connection. It was a easy setup using the Nighthawk app and was pretty much plug and play.
