With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

I was looking for a way to block content from my kids, so I was looking at the Disney Circle. After talking to a few friends that have it, they explained that by the kids simply unplugging it (accidentally of course), they could get around the filters. So when I was looking, I found out the nighthawk routers had it built in and I was wanting to upgrade anyways. Setup was super easy, it has a great iPhone app and web access, and Disney Circle is great although you do have to pay subscription to get the most out of it. All in all, I’m very happy with the router and the built in Disney Circle feature.

I love this router. The range is EXCELLENT. It solved my issues trying to get wifi out in the garage without additional hardware. My internet stability when gaming has dramatically improved by replacing the router my ISP provided. The controls and features you have in the Ap are awesome! I love having the ability to turn off specific devices from my phone. Great if you have kids!
