With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

Needed phone help installing. The unit’s ID & PW didn’t work with the house network. The NETGEAR associate had to override the defaults & make the house network the default. If the unit fails @ some point I’m not sure the default settings will work.

Very happy with this wifi router. My Mbps was 25-30 download, 5 upload. After installing this router it has increased to 115-120, upload 15. The app Makes it extremely easy to set up. You can see all devices connected and set parental controls for each device. With four kids, three of them are gamers this is exactly what we needed. Would highly recommend!

My family and I purchased this router about two weeks ago. Previously we have had very lukewarm encounters with various routers. When our spectrum provided router but the dust I decided to go for quality and purchase this router. My family have cut the cable about a year ago and good internet and good routers have become imparitive. Ever since we’ve hooked this up we’ve had nothing but excellent speeds. We have three apple TVs and a firestick and we can have them all streaming at once with hardly a problem. I also love the app, it gives me control with ease and the ability to see who’s on our network and to see the potential threats that may come. I think we will be using this router for a long while!

Twenty-five devices connected simultaneously? No problem. In the month+ that we’ve had a Nighthawk, it hasn’t needed to be restarted once. The UI works and has simple functions to mange the router and firewall. Can’t Beat that.
