With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

Seems to be a great product so far. I LOVE the inclusion of indicator lights and real switches on the front of the device. Our old ASUS router had a power on LED and nothing else. Not even a power switch. However they should really include an informative / KB type CD in the box. Seriously folks, they cost almost nothing to manufacture. The only thing in the box was a hard card that says to load the IOS/Android application. Not sufficient in my eyes and don’t tell me that everything is on line. Remember that this deviced GETS YOU ON LINE, right?

I was moved to remote work at home roughly a year ago. My wifi was not cutting it. I bought the r7000p and it gave me the steady connection and control I needed. We purchased this router for the speed, channel bonding, and the mu-mimo feature. Our neighbors WiFi was interfering so I expected to see maybe 150-200 mbps over WiFi with our existing modem but was surprised and happy to be getting speeds over 350 mbps with a strong signal throughout the house. The mobile app is also great, allowing remote access to the router from anywhere. I’m looking forward to setting up a personal cloud to sync photos on the go also. For the price I feel like I got more than what I paid for. No more buffering from running too many devices. Having 10+ devices with half connected and streaming at any given time that always seemed like a problem, not any more.
