With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

Loving this router, I was having so many problems with my modem router combo. My wifi seemed to never have been amazing, and continued to get worst to the point where I couldn’t use the internet without hardwiring or just using my cellular data. I replaced it with this router and a new modem and its was like the sky opened up and shown like and the angels began singing! lol, seriously though it is amazing and works fast! I have my computers, tv, children tablets, and cell phones linked to it with no lag. The speeds are amazing! Finally getting use out of the internet speeds I am paying comcast for!

Got the Netgear Nighthawk to replace my old Linksys WRT310N. My 2200 sq ft house has a large brick chimney in the center, which caused me to lose 1/2 my signal strength for a large portion of the house. Thought about a mesh network, but decided to try the Netgear router first. My signal at the new router is now 3X what it was, and my signal at the far end of the house is about 2X stronger than it was. I won’t need a mesh network.

My Apple AirPort Extreme was on its way out and since it has been discontinued I needed to change up. The RS400 seemed like a great deal with the 3yr Armor security included. Setup was easy, but requires the Nighthawk App. Would have preferred to do this directly through the computer. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because I also had to download a print manager (Netgear USB Control Center) on each of my computers to use my USB printer, and this requires you to disconnect before switching computers. After using Airport routers for years, which did not require additional software, this just seems like unnecessary busy work. All of that being said, I would still recommend this router as a good alternative to Airport.

Easy to install. Increased download speed from 30 to 48 gig per second. Only hiccup was PPPoE credentials didn’t seem to work via Nighthawk app. Used routerlogin and credentials worked. Great range. Was either mesh or upgrade to Nighthawk. This router works just fine inside and outside our 3000 sq ft home.

I picked up the nighthawk after continuous failure to appear from our ISP. Since our internet at our business location has been phenomenal. Our ISP showed up and tried to replace it with their Arris router, I informed him that the nighthawk is by far superior in every way and that we would keep the nighthawk over their garbage.

I procrastinated on installing this. Cause I thought it would be alot of registration and complicated IT procedures. But I was wrong . Installed with in 10 mins! My WIFI is now available throughout my entire home (1700 sqft) even works outside while I stream my music. Only thing is it disconnected a couple of times , on its own. Not sure why , but just had to unplug and replug. I love the app you can see what devices are connected to the WIFI and you disconnect them from the app
