With wireless data transfer rates of up to 2300 Mbps, the R7000P Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band Gigabit Router from NETGEAR is designed to offer the wireless bandwidth needed to stream multimedia content, download large files, and more all at the same time. The Nighthawk AC2300 also supports MU-MIMO technology providing multiple, separate data paths giving wireless users a dedicated connection to the network. Once configured, the R7000P supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. If a wired connection is needed the Nighthawk also features four Gigabit LAN ports as well as a single USB 3.0 port and a single USB 2.0 port to connect compatible USB peripherals directly to the network.
The R7000P Nighthawk isn’t your ordinary router and it comes equipped with a variety of features designed to enhance your network including Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect technology, a variety of network sharing apps, configuration utilities, and security applications to ensure you get the most out of your Nighthawk R7000P. With Dynamic QoS the Nighthawk is able to prioritize network traffic to ensure bandwidth heavy tasks such as streaming video, gaming, and other data hogging applications operate smoothly. Additionally, Smart Connect technology is designed to ensure every device is connected to the fastest available Wi-Fi Band.

I must admit that all the reviews were correct. The Nighthawk was very easy to set up with the new phone app. I was up and running in half an hour. I am a 70 year old senior and not tech savvy. I was able to save my old netgear passwords, so most all of my devices connected to the Nighthawk right away. I have a 2500 square foot home, that had some low reception in certain rooms. No more, strong signals through out the entire house. I love the phone app and the built in security that comes with this router. This router is worth investing in. I am enjoying this upgrade.

I’ve had my Nighthawk AC2300 Smart WiFi router for about a week now and awesome compared to the old Belkin N600 I had. It’s seven of us all with various mobile device and my Nighthawk handles our WiFi demand like a champ.
