The AC3200 Nighthawk X6 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router from NETGEAR features 802.11ac tri-band Gigabit Wi-Fi performance providing one 600 Mb/s data stream on the 2.4 GHz frequency and two 1300 Mb/s data streams on the 5 GHz frequency. These data rates can be combined to offer up to 3200 Mb/s performance when used with 802.11ac compatible Wi-Fi devices.
Along with enhanced Wi-Fi performance, the Nighthawk X6 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port. You can also connect USB compatible devices such as printers and hard drives to either of the USB ports to make them accessible throughout the network.
Inside the Nighthawk X6 you will find a 1 GHz dual-core processor along with 3 offload processors, 128MB of Flash memory, and 256MB of RAM memory. In addition to the enhanced processing power, this router utilizes six high performance external antennas allowing the signal to reach farther than comparable routers. With Beamforming+ technology, that signal can be directed to specific devices for enhanced speed, reliability, and range.
With READYShare technology from NETGEAR, you can stream your media to a variety of devices such as game consoles, media players, smart TVs, and more. Simply insert a compatible USB storage device directly to either of the USB ports found on the back of the router and begin streaming all of your videos, movies, photos, and music. Along with streaming of multimedia content, you can back up your PC directly to an attached USB storage device using the READYShare Vault application.

I had this router for more than a year, bought it brand new for when we moved to a new apartment, it worked kind of fine most of the time, sometimes I did lose wifi for some seconds in my 5ghz wifi, than happened once a day for about once or tiwce a week, if I go and reboot the modem it all went back to good for maybe another 2-3 weeks, and then the same happened ( I had 300Mb internet). although speed was always around the 300Mb, wifi and ethernet, now… I just moved to my new home , here we have fiber so we got 1Gb internet, no mater what I do I cannot get more than 300Mb and that is for ethernet and wifi 5Ghz. I looked around and there is a lot of people that is having this issue, so that makes me think that they screwed something up in some of their firmwares and it is a temporal problem or they just just plainly lie to our faces on the tech specs. I borrowed a very old router from a friend of mine that has a single 1Gbit port, connected directly to my ISP modem, and there it is 1Gbit transfer with no issues, but with my ‘false advertised’ netgear x6 I only get 300Mb , no matter the port or the wifi band.
