The AC3200 Nighthawk X6 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router from NETGEAR features 802.11ac tri-band Gigabit Wi-Fi performance providing one 600 Mb/s data stream on the 2.4 GHz frequency and two 1300 Mb/s data streams on the 5 GHz frequency. These data rates can be combined to offer up to 3200 Mb/s performance when used with 802.11ac compatible Wi-Fi devices.
Along with enhanced Wi-Fi performance, the Nighthawk X6 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port. You can also connect USB compatible devices such as printers and hard drives to either of the USB ports to make them accessible throughout the network.
Inside the Nighthawk X6 you will find a 1 GHz dual-core processor along with 3 offload processors, 128MB of Flash memory, and 256MB of RAM memory. In addition to the enhanced processing power, this router utilizes six high performance external antennas allowing the signal to reach farther than comparable routers. With Beamforming+ technology, that signal can be directed to specific devices for enhanced speed, reliability, and range.
With READYShare technology from NETGEAR, you can stream your media to a variety of devices such as game consoles, media players, smart TVs, and more. Simply insert a compatible USB storage device directly to either of the USB ports found on the back of the router and begin streaming all of your videos, movies, photos, and music. Along with streaming of multimedia content, you can back up your PC directly to an attached USB storage device using the READYShare Vault application.

Had this router about 3 years. When I had 100 Mbit internet speeds it worked great. I upgraded to Gigabit Ethernet and the router will not see above 300 MB/s usually around 250-275. I have verified I am getting 900 MB/s coming out of the modem but the router just doesn’t see it. I have tried in vain with various settings changes and firmware updates as found on various message boards reporting the same issue. This is a great router unless you have a Gigabit connection, in that case look elsewhere.
