Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

Does exactly what I hoped. I bought this to get (much) better wifi performance and range compared to the FiOS Gigabit router provided by Verizon (which I still need to use, but turned off wifi on it.) I also wanted a router that supported the brand new WPA3 and wifi 6 standards, to future proof my purchase. Overall, I am very satisifed, though I wish it was cheaper.

The looks and performance are great but for a higher end router and for this much money, it should come with deeper, more technical software like the DumaOS software that comes on the Nighthawk Pro Gaming line. I will probably return this router and wait for a WiFi-6 Pro Gaming router.

The 5g can really reach certain areas my other modem couldn’t do and it’s blistering fast too. Only problem I have is the 2.4 doesn’t seem to have the reach like my last router and it drops completely at times. I guess I just gotta buy 5g stuff from now on.

Purchased this wireless router so it can handle my 1 gig speeds. Not the best speeds. I only get about 340 mb and on occasions 400 mb speeds through wireless. I should be expecting to get at least 600mb speeds. I will probably work on the setting to see if I can get some improvements.

For me to say “Not for the faint of heart” is true especially when your internet providers decides to have issues. The Nighthawk RA200 is by far one of the best products I’ve come across in a long time. Once my internet came back up, using the app on my phone I was up and surfing the web. The app truly surprised me. Powerful, customizable and reliable. If your in to tech I highly recommend this device. Way to Netgear.
