Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

I’ve had nothing but problems. This thing over heats. Stops working. I have 2g service. Only getting half a gig on ethernet cable. Wifi seem to be ok. Getting 300g with wifi.

I bought a NightHawk R7500 in 2018. It held up till we started to get a lot more devices running on it wirelessly. We needed a upgrade due to the amount of wireless traffic that was being pulled from our router. I read reviews and watched a couple of videos on the AX12. I was sold just by that but was surprised how well it integrated and how fast it ended up being. We pay for the top tier internet (with our provider) that claims to bring in 400MB a sec. Our R7500 at its best was doing 100MB a second and at its worst 30MB a second. Well the AX12 has been pulling in 475MB wirelessly a second with 25 plus attached devices. The setup is simple and within 15 minutes you will be all set up and back online.

Love WiFi 6 but most of my devices operate on WiFi 5 so not getting much of advantage until I upgrade other devices. Most of my 2.4Ghz devices are not even available in WiFi 6 yet.

Not happy with this unit at this time. I have just under 100MPS coming into the router, yet standing right next to it, the I am only getting about 35-40mps on my phone. It worked great the first day, I actually hit in the 80’s. But after just a couple days, it dropped and streaming on TV has become a huge disappointment

This router is a dream! 3 bands: 2.4ghz and two 5G connections! 4 wired connections. This is by far the easiest router to set up. You download the app after making the standard Ethernet connection to your modem. I use my router for gaming, 4K streaming, and work. I have yet to have a failed connection! If you have a big house than 2.4g may be the best band to connect but for a small apartment you can easily use 5G for cellphones and tv’s. I would say this is worth every penny tho very expensive. The app allows you to see who is on your network and kick others off, lol. You can also switch guest WiFi on/off at the switch of a button within the net gear app. It comes with parental controls, speed test, and traffic meter. Support and security are also included. I don’t usually give 5 stars and would not arbitrarily do it but trust me it is worth it. As soon as I turned it on and fired up the app it was on autopilot. This was by far the best setup process. I did not have to close my network as it set it up that way. I don’t have to give out my network password because I can set up guest WiFi. There really are no cons except for occasional noise, but that is not a big deal.
