Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

Replaced my last Nighthawk after 5 years with this upgrade it did not disappoint. This was exactly the right device for my size of home. Highly recommend this and all Netgear Nighthawk line!

Superfast 40 – 50 Mbps download wireless, 8-10 Mbps upload, 100 Mbps wired. Easy to set-up. Reliable connection. Running 10 devices.

Easy setup as I switched from Linksys to Netgear. Access to my connected home devices has improved drastically.

Due to a high number of devices using wifi in my house it was time to upgrade. Every device is taking full advantage of my gig internet connection

I usually do not write reviews about products I purchase, but I have been impressed with the speed and range of the RAX120 router.

I bought this router as the number of IoT devices in my house kept increasing (the main value proposition of WiFi 6). They all worked perfectly fine and were stable on my N600 router but my primary PCs dropped in speeds. I would get 30Mbps from my Comcast 150Mbps connection. Hence I decided to buy the AX6000. The speeds are now awesome, but every other day the router drops a random device from the network. Rebooting the dropped device or trying to manually connect does not work. Every time this happens, I need to reboot the router itself. I hope a future firmware update fixes this issue.

I recently purchased my router AX12, and amazed does not do it justice on how impressed I am with this new router. My network speed and problems from my old system are totally gone. Even my phone is pretty old Dl over well over what I thought was possible for this phone. Worth it

Easy to install, I gave a 4 stars because of lack of built in anti virus program as other competitors

Setup is unbelievably easy and Netgear takes it all the way from start to finish. The safety and security software is a great addition to the product which looks elegant instead of like a porcupine. I would recommend it for any one who is looking for a WiFi 6 router with easy setup. Took me longer to make the wired connections than to set up this unit. Too bad we have to wait on the 6E

Best router ever, recently purchased after having issues with the XR1000 download speeds due a bad firmware patch. Setup in 5 mins or less and I Instantly saw 700 to 900 mbs on a Speedtest.

Both routers would crash and reboot 5 to 7 times a day, leaving the house with NO WIFI for about 2 or 3mins. Tec’s kept putting the routers back to the previous firmware, which did help but would still crash about once a day. At some point tec’s looked at the logs of the routers, it showed constant DoS attacks, which was leading to the crashes of the WiFi. I was then asked to get a NEW IP address from my internet provider. With in 2 sec of the NEW IP taking affect, the attacks started all over again, per the logs. I put a call into my internet provider, they came out and looked over and check out my system and also did some internal checking. I WAS ADVISED TO DISCONNECT the Netgear Nighthawk from my house as soon has possible. I put my previous router back in and NO MORE PROBLEMS I’ve asked for a REFUND and was told Netgear doesn’t give refunds, but would be happy to send me a third router.

This model looks cool and has lots of great specs but when it comes down to it it does not perform as well as the X6 does. The 2.4 GHz range is significantly less than the X6 and the actual data transfers on the 5 GHz are sporadic to say the least.

I have had good experience with Netgear products in the past, and decided to use this router. Not being a tech hero the Netgear line of products are some of the most user friendly devises to set up. Another question I had was would it cover my 3500 sq ft home? After downloading the Nighthawk app, setup was a breeze. I was able to retain my SSID, and password from my old router and use it. This was a big time saver for all the household smart devises around 20. Back to the coverage concern. Well there was none. This router is providing me upper level speeds of my internet provider anywhere in the house, 25 up and around 480 down. I even have link rates on some devises clocking in at over 1000 MBPS. Another bonus is being able to access my router remotely when away from home from the app. Also you get the 30 day trial of Armor which is nice for the added layer of security. Hands down this system is easy to setup, use, and is very fast. I would recommend the RAX120 to others.

from just a wifi speed and coverage area, this router is a beast, but it lacks parental controls or any networking features for that matter. The last update gave a security feature, but at a monthly cost, which I will not pay for, especially that my last router gave it for free. In short, this is a high end, expensive, basic router. I expected more for the money that I paid.

Act of Congress to get anything on the network. Usually takes a hand full of tries per item then mysteriously will boot a handful of items off the network without warning and will not let the items rejoin. Reboots will do the same thing and in most cases requires a complete wipe and new set up process to correct. When armor is active it will drop signal on all items and reboot every few minutes. Worst router I have ever purchased. Keep what you have.

after purchasing this router I noticed my Internet speed is increased. I have a 2200sq home. No more dead zones. Love this router. Working from home and upload large files in no time.

Works great! User friendly app! And for advanced users you get a ton of extras via router login via PC!!

Fast, stable connection. Lots of nice features. WOuld be better if ait had a bit more more ports or a bit less cost but quality and performance are worth spending extra for.

Recently upgraded to the RAX120 with a CM700 modem amd cat8 ethernet cables. My internet is through Comcast and I am currently paying for their 600 mbps package, but with all my gear from Netgear, I regularly get about 700 with multiple devices streaming at once. Plus having the whole home covered without needing any extenders anymore has made a pretty big difference as well.

What I liked most about the product is it’s signal strength. We usually have a very weak signal at our house, but this router was an good upgrade. I also like the design and ease of setup with my Netgear app. My least favorite thing about it was the cost – but all in all, I would say it was a good purchase. Would recommend.
