Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

We were replacing an older Netgear nighthawk that was losing signal. This one was easy to set up and the range seems to be better than before. Even at 40 ft or so from the router we are still getting speeds of 110 download and 18 upload. If within 15 to 20 feet we can get about 700 download and 35 upload. A huge upgrade from before. Highly recommend this piece of equipment.

Put this in an office with a lot of brick and concrete walls. Not only is it able to get full signal and all the offices, approximately 1500 sq ft. I get a signal from almost a block away.

Good signal, lacks good documentation, router i.p. address reverted from 10.0.0.*** to external i.p. dares on its own, unknow which to set it at, could have from firmware update, lacks security which Netgear mesh had.

Twice the router stopped working and needed to be factory reset and reconfigured. More than three times the router automatically powercycled kicking everyone off. I got on with tech support to do some advanced custom changes to the configuration, so we’ll see whether that helps. So far my experience has been abysmal.

I consider myself in the middle of the road when it comes to tech savvy and setting up networks. I feel like this router has a good amount of features. So far I have about 30 IoT devices on the 2.4 ghz channel (smart lights, fans, etc.) and I have not noticed any slow down in the performance. My home is a 3000 sq. ft. multilevel and I have been able to pick up all the exterior lights and have at least 80% 2.4 ghz signal strength everywhere. The 5g channel is handling 4 phones and 3 streaming devices with no issue. I am not a gamer so I am not sure what the performance is like there. I have a 150 Mbps download speed and it was registering 155 Mbps. The price point on this item is middle of the road for someone who wants bang for their buck. It worked for my purpose of

I love this new router. It’s expensive for a reason. It is the fastest WiFi router on the market. It’s bigger and faster than any mesh system too. I researched everything before making this purchase. It supports up to 50 devices. My family of 5 needed this router upgrade. Setup is easy but I wish the Netgear setup helped show how the router worked in different configurations. Took me awhile to figure out that when using this router with Uverse that I had to change the router to an access point to get webpages not to open up with a 404 code

Pretty solid router in general. Handles 30 devices relatively well, minus a few hiccups here and there. At this price point I am a bit surprised that there were no options for VPN or firewall included. The X10 is likely a better option for most.
