Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

The router was very easy to set up, the range is really good, I had a nighthawk X6 AC3200 and this is far better. I like the way that when you add a device the security sends a message that there is a device is trying to connect. Using my cell phone to change settings and make changes is a breeze. It very much worth the money I spent.

Router was defective not sure what was actually wrong kept dropping the Internet spent six hours on the phone with tech-support After which they told me to return the product. Honestly I’ve used Netgear products over 15 years now and that’s the first time I’ve got a defective product. I was disappointed with all the trouble I had and the fact they would not compensate me or Discount substantially another unit, therefore I am going to try a different company’s router as I feel I’ve been a loyal customer of theirs and when I had a problem that cost me a true hardship they would not stand by me other then to say sorry. My time is valuable and my kids needed that router for school due to COVID. Not happy.

I don’t like changes, so when I unboxed my new Nighthawk it didn’t work like most guys trying to do it without reading the instructions. So after reading the instructions I download the Nighthawk application. So step by step I followed the instructions you made it so easy. A little pricey for a Retiree but I’ve always say if you want the BEST you buy the best. And believe me this one is the BEST on the market. So thank you Netgear Nighthawk AC12 job well done. Ken

The wired LAN speed is at least 30% faster than my previous AC router, not to mention the AX WiFi! Connected my desktop with 10Gbe port to Google Fiber 1G internet via the extra 5Gbe port, the blazing fast Internet surfing (and file transfer through my 10Gbe NAS) is something you’ll definitely enjoy.

1st customer service needs to be open 24/7 for tech support. 2nd it was very difficult to setup the router, very little information was given to setup up your router. 3rd There is lots of room for improvement on the app, very weak. Router signal was very weak. Was not impressed at all 🙁
