Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

When I wanted to replace my ISP-provided modem/router, I wanted to be sure that the router I purchased could handle the traffic my six-person household generates, cover the entirety of the home with wifi without issue, and also have some add-on features like network-attached-storage via a USB hard drive. I found all of these features in the RAX120, and though it was a bit pricier than I was planning, I am happy I chose it.

I have a huge amount of devices connected to the network. Security system, lights, gaming systems, phones, computers, entertainment, cameras, tablets, appliances. Really! My old router (only 2 years old) had issues keeping up. Channels filled, things slowed down, sporadic connections. Since switching things are better then ever, quicker, no dropped connects, even further distance. Its pricey so I would say not for everyone. But if your looking for an upgrade that will not disappoint this is it!

I figured the Nighthawk was a decent router but it really went above my expectations. I drove down the road and was still connected! And for the nerds out there I was getting – 24 dBm throughout the house. Definitely worth the money

I expected much more wi-fi stronger coverage from this router. The router ( AC 3200 Tri_Band Model R8000) I had was working fine but wanted, and expected, much more from the new one (AX6000).

Great WiFi router with the coverage I need for the entire house. Working from home since March 2020 and needed a more reliable WiFi router. Would give it five stars however been getting drops from my daughter’s PC over the WiFi. Ordered a new WiFi USB adapter to see if that is the source of the issue. Overall, I am very pleased. Hopefully the new adapter will fix the issue.
