Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

Great product but I don’t like that you only get 90 day phone support. I like the one year warranty on the hardware. It has great throughput and the WiFi radio is very strong. Overall A- wish the nighthawk product line had more phone support.

I live in a townhome and my office is at the forth floor. I pay 300m and the signal on my office was 15m, making it impossible to do a video conference meeting. Now with Netgear Nighthawk AX12 my speed is 311m, How can you explain that? I am so glad I have this router now.

Long range and high speeds is what makes this router so amazing. I run 4 TVs in my house and keep the router in the game room. Because of this the living room downstairs would not get signal but after I bought this router my signal went from not good to very good.

I know I made a good decision to buy the Nighthawk AX12 router when there hasn’t been a single negative comment from my wife and four teenagers about the internet speed. This WiFi 6 router is flat out fast, reliable and consistent. Our family currently has 24 devices connected (streaming 4K TV, a couple Xbox consoles, multiple iPhones and iPads, etc.) and this router isn’t even breaking a sweat.

The performance of the router is typically very good, with good coverage, and features needed for flexible configurations (port routing and triggering, DDNS, etc.), but the recent firmware updates made the app a requirement for remote management, and it has very limited remote management capabilities. Things like port forwarding, etc., cannot be adjusted, or even viewed.

This is a great router. It has all the required connections and I was able to attached 2 usb drives of 5TB each and they were instantly visible on the nework. It has plenty of Ethernet ports to accomodate all my devices that use wired. I would recommend this product for home use!

I installed this router to cover approximately 2,400 sqft. My gigabyte internet portal was installed in the basement in the machine room. The router has a lot of HVAC and walls to deal with in order to provide good wifi coverage for my whole house. So far the router has handled it like a champ and I have good internet speeds all the way up to my 2nd floor.

We decided to go completely wireless and with a family of 7 there has been no issues with everyone. Game playing steaming videos and live tv app with no issues the customization is nice when it’s dinner time click of a button and all WiFi is off or if you have company you can even set up guest, truly as proved itself for our family needs.

The wifi function is great, with strong signals, wifi 6 and great ipv6 support. It is easy to setup and everything works great. The only thing I am not satisfied is the USB sharing. This model has two USB ports, which would be great if it can support USB-printers. I just do not understand why it does not support printers, and it should not have any technical difficulties, as the old wifi 5 models supports. And if I look at the list of verified USB drives of Netgear router devices, I found that the verified USB drives of wifi 6 models are fewer than wifi 5 models. For example, WD Elements hard drive works with R7800 not RAX120. I have two WD elements hard drives, and both are not recognized by the RAX120. Hopping further upgrade of firmware will improve the performance.

We had the original Nighthawk, but had multiple streaming devices and it finally gave up on the 5ghz side. When looking for a replacement, I not only wanted the fastest speed I could get (we have fiber to the house) but also handle the load we were putting on it. This fits the bill nicely! We have outstanding signal throughout our home and outside in the yard. I highly recommend this router if you are running multiple streaming devices.
