Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

Router has decent range, but not the fastest dns resolution. Also product fails, less than 20 seconds, when trying to watch with an att U-verse tv receiver. Support is the worse, I called twice and got little help and “support ” closed my ticket with no fix or work around.

After reading countless articles and watching many reviews on the latest routers, I figured it would be much better to buy the top ones and try myself to see which one would be the better one to keep. I had high hopes for this router since most of the reviews said that it provides the fastest speeds. However, it wasn’t the case for me as I could not reach even over 500mbpd download and upload on my fiber connection through Wifi 6 with the proper settings. The router also doesn’t have many gaming features. Ultimately, I found the one I liked from another manufacturer and ended up returning this one. Overall its good, but definitely not great considering the price.

I have only had this router in service for 5 days, but so far it is working great. The router speed is as fast as my internet service coming into the house. I was easy to setup.

Router signal is weak.I lose my internet connection during games and online meetings. Must subscribe to annual service to benefit from the security features. Router price doesn’t match performance. Highly disappointed. Will not be buying another net gear product in the future.

Our internet provider recently let us know they had increased our download speed, so we decided to finally upgrade our Nighthawk from 2015. While our speeds were decent before, we are now getting WiFi speeds over even the increased speed from our provider!

From 3ft off the ground floor, signal reaches all of our 2story 3700sqft stone home. Had only 2 issues: Sync button symbol is tiny and different (padlock with ear-like waves). A NETGEAR dongle on an ancient but updated Win10 desktop found the signal but not the internet. Swapped it for a different NETGEAR model dongle and all is good. Ethernet connection with printer works. Next: buying external drive.
