Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

I have had this router for a couple of weeks and so far its working great. Its hooked to a CM1200 modem and the wireless speeds are very impressive. The wireless smart connect feature works really well, connecting devices to both 5g and 2.4g automatically. The app is also very good and essential to getting to a successful install. My only compliant was the install process. It was difficult and time consuming. What I thought was a simple modem / router install turned into a 5 1/2 hour ordeal between Xfinity and Netgear. I was on the phone with Xfinity for 2 hours trying to get the modem working with Xfinity, then on the phone with Netgear for 3 1/2 hours getting the internet to flow through the modem successfully, then trying to get the RAX120 router to talk with the CM1200 modem. Given these are both Netgear products I would have thought they would talk intelligently with on another, not the case in terms of setup. After numerous attempts, including a firmware update for router and finally running through the install process once again with the app on my Iphone it worked. After setup its been running successfully and I can say this is a great product. Its very stable, fast, has great coverage in my large house and is able to easily handle more than 40 devices connected to it.

I have used several routers. We have a 3200 sq ft house. Previous routers and repeaters were not up to the task especially for watching 4K TV movies. There have been no drop outs since I installed the RAX120. Download speeds on my computer have been blindingly fast. There have been no dropouts on our VOIP phones. The adaptive antennae on this router are very effective.

I recently purchased this router as an upgrade to replace my Nighthawk AC1900 that was about 5 years old. (Another great NETGEAR router that worked flawlessly). The RAX120 is a great looking router right out of the box. Easy to set up and install. I had the entire thing up and running in ten minutes. I had some issues with the suggested app they want you to download to install the router, and decided to use a browser to do it instead. Once it went through a few restarts and a software update, it was working flawlessly. All 32 of my connected WiFi devices from my AC1900 immediately recognized and connected to the RAX120, which I set up to use the same SSID and password as my old router. I then set up the guest network to run my 6 NEST security cameras on. Almost 40 devices running of this router for weeks now without a single issue. And the range is seriously impressive. I no longer need my NETGEAR EX8000 to get solid WiFi in the back of my 1900 sq ft house. I have full bars no matter where I go on my property. I am very impressed with this router and glad I made the purchase.

Most things now days run of wifi in our homes. We had an old router that gave off weak signal or diluted the strength. The rax120 keeps a very strong signal, but also carries a long range. Have had for a short time, but so far its been a huge plus!

I bought this to replace a TP-Link router that periodically would just kill its own internet connection, requiring a reboot. Since I got the Nighthawk running, it has not gone down, and that has been a week so far. I like the web interface. The monitor alerts on my phone are a bit obnoxious, but that service will only last a month for free, at which time I will cancel it.
