Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

This was a great upgrade from my old R8000 ac router. I have noticed less lag with multiple devices streaming over WiFi with my existing ac devices, with qos is enabled.

Paid for Armor and ProSupport, Netgear charged me for it along with the RAX200, then I did not get either Armor or ProSupport. Went to chat and got the run-around. They claim no record of purchase in spite of having sent the the receipt. I am stuck with complex setup ad no phone support I paid for, and they are asking me by email to pay for support at double the price in what seems like bait and switch. What a hassle!

I have many IoT devices that I connect to remotely on a daily basis. In the past I’ve used everything to make sure there was connectivity across all devices. It didn’t always work out as planned. Devices would drop off the network, and/or fail to connect. With AX12 I no longer have such issues. The AX12 also has such good range on its own that I no longer have to use Wifi extenders. A real nice convenience! The only improvement I’d like to see is NETGEAR installing the total BITDEFENDER security suite on the router. I have used this in the past and what it does is eye opening pertaining to network monitoring.

Best AX Router on the market. I have a couple dozen WiFi devices that average above 600 MB/s such as tablets, cells, security cameras and other devices. If you want a great product with excellent customer service get this router.

My old wifi router kept freezing up and dropped internet connection. This router had to be reset once already. Not sure why.

Had to replace my old EX8500 router. Did not know what to replace it with. Call Netgear support. After informing about my system, they suggested the RAX200. Great suggestion. Installation went fast and easy. The nighthawk phone app was extremely helpful with the setup of the router and the setup of my two E8000 extenders. Presently I have over 30 devices on the system and all are working fine. This includes my security cameras, my alexa devices and my xbox series s. Running for 23 days no issues. Keep creating these great new routers. Very happy customer. Regards – Robert

I decided to go for a more expensive but future-proof solution. I have not regretted it. The dead-spots in my house are no longer dead and it even broadcasts down to the furthest depth of my backyard, which was not possible without an extender. Excellent.

Upgraded my old Netgear Nighthawk router for the new Nighthawk AX12. What a huge difference! Streaming is light-years ahead and every device runs way faster than before! I have only Netgear routers since having home Internet service.

This router has blown away all my expectations! Latency is practically non existent! It is blazing fast. I bumped up from 250 Mbps to 320 Mbps just after hooking it up. The Nighthawk app is very nice and efficient.

Had an ASUS router that was about two years old and was kind of hesitant to do the upgrade. After installing it and doing some testing I was amazed how better the range and the connections were. I have a 1200sqft two bedroom apartment and I have full signal anywhere. I definitely recommend upgrading to this router.

I purchase this router as replacement and upgrade from my nighthawk X6 R8000 due to more demanding from the router as speed. So far so good. This router serve me well!

With working from home and school, we struggled to keep the Internet up and functioning proper. This Router has been amazing – we now have lightening speed.

Netgear offers parental controls on their standard consumer products but not on the top-of-the-line Nighthawk AX unit? That seems like a major oversight. I had the unit for 2 days before processing the return. I have teenagers. I need parental controls. Other than that, it seemed like a decent wireless router.

I haven’t been able to get it to work yet. The only way to do anything with it is through a smartphone app (GRRR!!), and it can’t connect. I’ve been trying on and off for weeks. It may be the fault of my modem (an xFinity Gateway) already using the default IP address, but if I can’t get into the Nighthawk to change its address, I can’t troubleshoot it.
