Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

Coming from a Ruckus R710, this is faster and definitely has better range in my complex, overbuilt home. Speed tests from the ground floor, where the router is located, up two stories only had minimal loss. Extremely easy to set up and no more downtime or fixing family Wi-Fi issues. Be prepared to enter Tron…no not the 1982 one, this is the new Disney re-make. This modem covers 3 floors of my business and 40 devices with 2 gigabit wifi. Literally EVERYONE is streaming in 4k and no slowdown. Just be careful as it will take off and start assimilating programs.

Before this router, I had a 75ft Ethernet cable that was getting me 4-500mb/s on a 950mb/s connection, Now, on wifi, I’ve topped 900 mb/s…avg is about 700. It’s fantastic!!

I purchased this router as a system up date. I just recently built a new computer and with my new motherboard asus zenith alpha 2 I figured why not update my network to maximize my speed potential now that I have a Wi-Fi 6e compatible computer. Purchased the rax200 since at that time it was the newest most streamer friendly router Netgear was offering. I complimented it with a Netgear modem cm1200. Boy can this this router tolerate a lot of use and abuse. It easily has 30-40 device connected at all times and I’m still obtaining gigabyte speeds when connected as an aggregate and no slowing of my streaming products such as my nvidia shield pro! The nightHawk app is extremely user friendly and allow me to visualize new device that are connected to my network as well as look remotely when I am not home! I highly recommend it. I gave it a 4 star because it was missing the manual however, I didn’t receive it from the site exclusively, so that may have been the vendor.

The performance of this router is as advertised and excellent for our household needs. However, the setup was far too complicated and the Nighthawk App software turned-out to be the source of the problem. After setting-up the router using a direct browser on my PC, I deleted the Nighthawk App from my phone and then reinstalled it. After that, all worked well, but the App still occasionally gives false indications about the router status.

The Nighthawk RAX200 is an amazing piece of equipment and has solved multiple problems with our home WiFi.
