Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

I upgraded from the R8000 NightHawk to the RAX120. Between all my mobile devices, smart home devices, and various other connected devices, I started watching my Internet connections get slower. Decided to upgrade after reading the amazing reviews and pulled the trigger. Extremely happy I spent the money. Not only is the Internet connection faster for Wi-Fi, it actually extends through my house without the need of my nighthawk extender, Which I have now moved to my garage for a better connection outside. If you’re thinking about doing it, just do it, you won’t be upset with the purchase.

I got this because I talked to Netgear support and told them I want the fastest WiFi router they have. They told me this one is coming out so I preorder it. I WAS VERY SKEPTICAL because it was expensive. BUT, I do not regret it at all. We have the GIG plan with Spectrum and I was barely getting speeds of 400 mps. Most the time our internet didn’t even work or we would have to reboot the router etc. Now, I get speeds of 800. I have gotten 920 at one point and that is kind blowing! So I recommend this router to anyone that has 7 smartphones, 4 smart TVs, 2 IPads, a Pool system, 3 Xbox’s, 1 PS4 and 2 Apple Mac Books like I have haha best router I have ever had! (Previous router was Orbi)

… But it could use a minor app overhaul. The router itself is great, plenty of channels, and good signal strength throughout the house, but the app that is aligned with it from the manufacturer is really ineffective at helping you set up the device. I recommend stop via a direct wow connection, and follow-up with the wireless connection in the app to avoid any frustration…
