Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

I had issues with my mesh network dropping connections since I had so many devices in my smart home. This one router was able to handle more devices than my mesh network with better range and faster speeds. I no longer have devices dropping in and out even with 25+ devices connected. Also, setup was very easy and management is made simple with the Nighthawk app.

We hooked this up because we have an office about 10 ft from our house. We needed wifi in the office so we were told this device would do that for us. It does not. There is nothing in the way and it says it works outside on the box, but it does not.

Very expensive router… I would’ve expected the coverage would’ve been better than the less expensive model as my home has a large square footage print… I am going to be installing network extenders… Otherwise it works great…

I was a very early adopter of WiFi 6 because I wanted to get rid of a troublesome mesh network. This router looked like it would provide really solid throughput for the nearly 50 devices I have connected through it. Overall, I would say it did not meet my expectations when new, but is improving. Several setup components were buggy and changes I made and saved would disappear for no reason. Connectivity would suddenly drop from devices that were within 30 feet of the router and join my guest network. Some of this seems to have been remediated in the latest firmware rev, but this product felt rushed to market and poorly tested. I also expected better throughput to mobile devices which is now topping out at about 60Mbps (my uplink/downlink speeds are 1GBps)

I have not had any problems with the operation of this WiFi Router. The speeds are as expected and I have had no lag especially during video phone chats or video streaming. I went with something cheaper but decided to go with the best out there. It was worth the price.
