Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

The time came for my old wireless router to send its last byte and I was faced with the dilemma of who should be the successor. After careful consideration and many reviews, the clear winner on paper was Netgear Nighthawk AX6000 wireless router.How would it do under my workload and house layout? To my delight, the AX6000 covers my entire house without any dead spots. I used to have 2 additional hot spots just to get coverage in my basement and bedrooms. I upgraded my internet service to gigabyte speed and was skeptical that I was going to be close to that mythical number. I went to the farthest corners of my house and was shocked and amazed that not only did I have a strong connection, but the speedtest I ran was closing in on the promised speed from my internet service provider. I cannot state enough on how satisfied I have been with the performance. Did I mention how simple it was to setup. Overall this experience has been the opposite of what I anticipated of a wireless router upgrade. Netgear AX6000 checks all the boxes for everything I wanted from a wireless router.

So far, been about 2 weeks since setup, and it has worked flawlessly. It did take a little while to have everything working properly, not difficult just a little time consuming to get up and running. The app is also useful. Paid with the Nighthawk Mesh WiFi 6 Extender, and I have no dead spots in my house or my basement, allowing my WHOLE HOUSE to be on the SAME NETWORK seamlessly. Before this, I had to have a similar setup but with 2 different routers that made me create 2 different networks in order to reach my basement. This was a pricey setup, but its fast, fluent, and if it continues to work as well as it has thus far, then it will turn out to be a worthy investment. Would recommend.
