Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

Out of the box the setup was extremely easy and I noticed speed and range improvements over my provider router and modem set. I have began running RG6 from the integrated switch and the performance is on par with what I expected from gigabit internet. I have not played around with the features much yet but I am sure with a little tweaking I can get even better performance.

Purchased NETGEAR Nighthawk AX12/12-Stream AX6000 WiFi Router, Wi-Fi 6 (RAX120) to replace an aging Linksys router. Installation went very smooth; through put shows significant increase in volume and speed. Distance has also been increased to monitor surveillance cameras in a storage shed containing lawn and garden equipment. I would purchase again, the improvement is worth the cost.

Installation was easy. The speed coming off the router (both hardwired and wireless) exceeds my subscription with FiOS both which surprised me the most. Their nighthawk app works great once you become more familiar with it. Still needs some work though.

My router was having issues. Did a lot of research and decided this was the one for me. Not only did I get a strong signal on both 2.4 and 5 mhz through out our 2000 sq foot two story house. The download speeds literally are three times our old router. This is the best router on the market!

I work in cybersecurity and I’m very impressed with the Netgear Armor integration for this device. I can’t speak to the longevity as I only set it up this week, but the set up was very smooth through the app and the online portal. I have a 1300sqft townhome and I was running into weak zones in the opposite corner of the lower floor. We were getting 30Mbps max with the ISP BGW210, and with the RAX120 I’m getting 150Mbps minimum in that location. The router itself is pushing 940Mbps up and 935Mbps down, and 500Mbps to my HTC U11 on 5Ghz. Pretty impressive! The paired Bit Defender Total Security is also a great product, and I’m happy to see these two companies come together for a whole-home solution. This seems very minor, but I have the router in my bedroom, so the little switch to turn off the LED indicator lights is genius, thanks for the little things Netgear.

I am now able use all of my external and internal live stream security cameras as well as live stream videos or movies on laptops, phones and pads anywhere in the house.
