Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

I can’t believe how bad the firmware is on this machine. Believe the reviews you see online and in the forums. It’s very real. This router absolutely sucks, runs insanely hot, has terrible range, oh and if you want to use smart switching, don’t. Your devices won’t connect to a 5ghz signal unless you’re in the same room or within 10 feet. I’ve done networking for years, and this is literally one of the biggest money grabs for new technology that I’ve ever seen. Buyer absolutely beware.

During the recent Corvid 19 stay home directives, I added several new 4K devices to my home. All worked well, but found security cameras, online video meetings, several 4K devices buffering or stuttering during the day. After a lot of reviews decided to purchase the Night Hawk AX12. Was hoping for the price adding the new 5GHz MU-MIMO WiFi 6 services would help the 4K issues I was experiencing. Worked great! After a quick setup and replacement of the old access point we put the Night Hawk to the test. Launched multiple 4K streams, launched a few web based Zoom meetings, fired up the game systems. All worked great. No more stuttering feeds, buffering issues, or systems offline reports. Great product, easy setup, great performance and well worth the price.

This is the best Wifi for any type of home: huge rooms, thick walls, and thousands of square feet. I bought this router to replace an old router that did not even reach my living. As of right now the Nighthawk is doing great! The performance is off the charts and is giving me so much more then I had expected. Styling is also great, it remind me of something that came out of a Star Wars movie every time I look at it. Rang, now this is the great thing about it. I though my last router had it but I was very much mistaken. Once I got the Nighthawk plugged in, wow! I have to say I was really surprised, I was still able to still get a single out in my street. All in all I must say that this router is top notch and I highly recommend it to friends/family and to whom ever may be in the market for a new router. 😉
