Boost the speed and efficiency of your home Wi-Fi network with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router from Netgear. Equipped with eight internal antennas and capable of up to 6 Gb/s of total Wi-Fi throughout, this dual-band router supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard. Among the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 are multi-user MIMO support, which allows for multiple simultaneous data streams; OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) support, which helps to enhance efficiency and reduce latency; and target wake time (TWT), which helps to optimize the battery life of connected mobile devices.
The Nighthawk AX12 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, and a 5 Gb/s Ethernet port that allows for multi-gigabit wired connections. Two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports let you share printers and storage devices, while WPA3 encryption helps to enhance security.

This radio is a beast. It has a powerful processor, handles 12 streams simultaneously with ease, has the extended signal distance I needed. and uses Wireless 6 AX technology for the latest smart phones, etc. The Darth Vader Star Wars ship appearance is cool, too. It’s just Awesome!

This is a very good router and I receive excellent internet speeds on the Wi-fi and Wired connections. The app for the router is very lacking though. There are none of the advanced features available through it and if you want a more in depth setup, you will need to access the router from a computer.

This device has the advertised coverage, even reaching out to our guest house. I had hoped, though, that I could just replace my old AC Nighthawk product with this one by just naming the SSID the same, but that’s not the case. Also, I had to connect each home automation device individually, which was a pain. The app is fairly limited; I would prefer to have the advanced functionality there, too.

Quick, easy set up. Worked out of the box, hassle free, 20 devices about 50/50 wired and wireless, entering wireless password took the longest time. Had to add an extender to get to one distant smart tv for our 4800 sqft house.
