The router is very touchy during set up and it took one of my devices a couple of tries to find it but it has worked flawlessly since then. The signal is outstanding for the space we have. We use several devices including a roku to our television in a two bedroom apartment and we never drop the wifi.

With or church going online and the Sunday school class using zoom, I found my network buffering and was hard to watch and use the internet. Upgraded to the NetGear AX1800 Router and it solved all my buffering problems. It was easy to set up after installing the NetGear APP for my iPhone. If you are having trouble with poor connections and a lot of buffering I suggest an upgrade on your Router.

Before setting up this router I downloaded the complete user manual. After skimming through it and being impressed with all my settings choices I opted to use the Netgear app quick setup. It was easy and straightforward. The only problem I had was my fault for initially setting the security protocol higher than some of my older devices would support. I find the router, app and documentation well designed. I give them a hearty recommendation.

This router is fantastic. Before with the standard modem provided by the internet company, I had a “strong” signal upstairs in the house. After installing this Netgear router and hardwiring it with a cable leading upstairs, my computer is lightning fast with a very strong connection. No more lag, low ping, and barely any latency for gaming. Usually I got around 280mbs now I’m pushing 380 to 480mbs (which is was I pay for). The Nighthawk app has run great so far with no issues and it’s very easy to monitor your WiFi and all devices connected to it. Overall it was a fantastic buy and I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their home WiFi.

On the good side it was easy to set up, it supports all my devices and it is fast. On the spotty side, some devices suddenly stop working and have to be reconnected often without the 5G. I’m not a techie so I have no idea why. I have lots of devices maybe that’s why.

This was an upgrade from a Trendnet router purchased many years ago. The Nighthawk app makes for very easy installation. I have Spectrum 200 mbps and this showed on the Nighthawk app pulling 233. Roku devices doubled. Working great and hope it will for many years.
