Our older router was having intermittent issues so I purchased the RAX20 after reviewing different model specs. I found it super easy setup and reconfigure to match my old router settings within about 20mins of opening the box. All devices have had solid connections since. The router sits on the first floor of our house and my work laptop is in the basement several walls away. Solid connections all the time.

Got to replace my old nighthawk. after 2 days if use, the power light went to a steady amber. and could not get tp to stay white. I returned it and got a Linksys instead.

Although I am not much of a tech person I found the router extremely easy to install with help from the Nighthawk app. I hooked up 3 wires and boom, i got a working router that performs flawlessly. I have recently switched to a streaming service from a satellite company and this router handles everything I need it to. This is my second Netgear and if I ever have to upgrade I will go back to Netgear.

It worked great for about 24hrs after the purchase. The unit had an internal fault that could not be fixed through tech support, which was very patient and helpful. The defective unit was returned for a different Netgear model.

I finally finished setting up my new router about a week ago. It replaced a Linksys with similar specs. This one has a slightly better range as the signal reaches out to the sidewalk in front of my living room. It is working well. The big issue was in set up. It was not clearly marked that they want you to set it up through your cel phone by scanning the QR code. It is the only directions they have anywhere. For me, this is not good since I bought this one for better security, and they require access through an unsecure cel phone – not good. Hack your phone and the whole home system is compromised. I did eventually find directions for redoing some setting which included a computer link to router. I was then able to use that to set mine up through the computer. Once I found the computer to router IP, it was easy. I just don’t trust them now since they want the cel phone ease which is an easy entry for hackers plus I do not know what their app follows on my phone. I did not download the app since I found the bypass.

I tried several times to reset and reboot. 5GHz was able to connect, but the 2.4 GHz would not even show up on any of my computers. Needles to say, somewhat unhappy.
