This router was very easy to setup. It worked great straight out of the box. It is stupid fast. But, when I enable the smart connect it disables my wifi. I was on hold for 1.5hrs and gave up. I then went to the community…… Yes I ran all the updates Yes I figured what it was. The Box says AX1800 the bottom says RAX-15 Yes I got nowhere. uuuggghhh Yes I know I can uncheck the box and not use smart connect but that is not the point.

Recently replaced an older (8 years or so…) router Instant improvement in internet wifi. No buffering or longer loading times. Multiple devices can stream at same time without issue which has been a blessing during these covid times! Plus the app is user friendly and allows for better control/observation of router functions.

I had a frustrating week of trying to get my computer and router to link to my internet network at the same time. It turned out to be an issue with Win 10 where I had to disable ethernet then re enable. That turned off the router amber light. I could finally go to router login and start the Genie program and just follow the instructions. Worked like a charm. Haven’t had the router long enough to leave a review other than it does work. No one in the chat group had the right solution but did try all their suggestions. Thanks for trying.

I got this router to replace my spectrum cable router all my devices run better than they did with what the cable company says is the best this router proves them wrong and it give you the option to shut down individual devices without shutting down all internet great option
