Boost your wireless network speed up to 5400 Mb/s total throughput with compatible devices by installing the Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router from Netgear. This dual-band wireless router supports the 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard and uses OFDMA technology to communicate with multiple connected devices simultaneously across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. With the Nighthawk AX6 AX5400, you’ll have the wireless bandwidth you need to stream 4K video, video chat, and play online games. Its four high-performance antennas use Beamforming to help ensure strong connections and long range, making it ideal for medium to large homes. The router also includes five Gigabit Ethernet ports, four of which connect to computers, gaming consoles, and other compatible devices. Connect an external storage drive to the available USB 3.0 Type-A port to back up and share data locally across your network. The Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 sets up quickly through the Nighthawk mobile app, and you can issue voice commands to the router through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Your network is secured with both wireless encryption and the Netgear Armor multi-layered cybersecurity system, which protects devices against viruses, malware, and other online threats.

A purchase that was long awaited. With over 20 devices in my house connected to the WiFi, I needed something that distributed the connection evenly without worrying if the connection will fail. Netgear truly came in clutch.

Since we’ve purchased Netgear nighthawk it has been great to be able to watch a full program without losing Internet. The Netgear nighthawk is great we are very pleased that we purchased it

I didn’t realize how much of a difference the new Nighthawk would make.. very impressive!!

I live in a apartment, and I only have about 6 devices connected. When you’re across the apartment ( mind you, it’s not very big) the wifi is super slow.

Great router! I recommend this product for people looking for a great upgrade.

I was having WI Fi issues and streaming issues and the NightHawk corrected both for me. well worth the investment.

I really like the router so far I’ve only had it a week the features are great and the menus are organized well. The app on the other hand doesn’t work too well with ios13 but maybe that will be fixed in time. The performance of the router is great I am getting 238mbps which is great for the plan I’m under with my isp. The setup of the router was fairly simple and straight forward. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good quality router.

This was an easy install and works better than I hoped for!

I bought this to replace another router running an open source firmware. I like to have full control over everything my router is doing. I like the Nighthawk app. Was very easy to set up and still allows me plenty of control over how it functions. The prompts to sign up for trial software are a bit annoying, but I can look past them. Get 110 mbps on my MacBook through our 100 mbps connection. Works everywhere in our 3-story 1,300 sq ft house, including areas around the house. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a reliable and speedy router.

Seriously, this router is AWESOME! Completely satisfied with my purchase, and the performance of the NIGHTHAWK! So satisfied that I have recommended my friends to try it! If you are on the fence, it is worth a shot!

This router turned out great! This will be my second nighthawk and it never lets me down. It’s performance for the price is great. Make sure your modem is able to keep up, I got the netgear 900 and can’t complain. Both my kids and I play online and don’t have one problem.

Great internet connection through two story 5,000 square house

Superfast set up, very easy controls. Extended my network allowing kids, my wife and I access for business and personal devices with no interruptions.
Aniyah Haley (verified owner) –
Easy hookup and connect. Lots of options. Great speeds. Better signal than my old router.
Gabe Kuphal (verified owner) –
Bought this router because my old netgear router wouldn’t push out the 1G speed even though it is supposed to have the capability. The old one didn’t have enough range either. This router has great range and speed capability and I am actually getting the speed I pay for.
Adele Hickle (verified owner) –
The router is fast and works well. The setup gave us a few challenges as it did not connect the 1st time. We had to reset and install again. Also, we noticed the connection is dropped randomly, and is a pain sometimes to check if is the router or the modem. I like the speeds it connects with the ISP but I am still trying to figure out why it droops the signal out of nowhere.

Just got a Nighthawk AC5400 6-Stream WiFi Router. I have multiple devices throughout the house requiring WiFi connection. I can’t believe how strong the signal is and how efficiently all my components work and stream now!! Awesome unit!!

Replaced a NetGear N900 with this new Nighthawk bad boy. Used to be with the old N900 we would lose 75% of our speed on 2.4 and 50% on 5G. Just upgraded to 300 mbps business. Getting 333 mbps on 5 G 20 feet away from this new Nighthawk! Have an old Honeywell Thermostat that only connects to 2.4 54 mbps. Nice to be able to set Channel 1 2.4 54 mbps and have our older WiFi Thermostat connect and function fine! Super happy with this new Nighthawk Router and would highly recommend to anyone! A

If I had any confidence that other routers would be better, I’d buy one to replace this. I have never had any problems with throughput on this router, although I have experienced intermittent issues such as the router failing to route (i.e., LEDs are on and blinking, but no packets getting routed) and the 5 GHz band dropping. I have also experienced problems with IoT devices not connected, somewhat mitigated by reserving IP addresses; but there is still the frustrating occasional problem of my DropCam not connecting. I am running the latest firmware, after having had the device be available on the market for a year – you would figure this would be more reliable. If you are reading this review, you should consider an Asus router instead.
