With the Nighthawk AX6 AX5400, you’ll have the wireless bandwidth you need to stream 4K video, video chat, and play online games. The router also includes five Gigabit Ethernet ports, four of which connect to computers, gaming consoles, and other compatible devices. Connect an external storage drive to the available USB 3.0 Type-A port to back up and share data locally across your network. The Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 sets up quickly through the Nighthawk mobile app, and you can issue voice commands to the router through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Your network is secured with both wireless encryption and the Netgear Armor multi-layered cybersecurity system, which protects devices against viruses, malware, and other online threats.

I installed this unit in condo entry closet and it performs flawlessly. I still manage to receive a very strong signal in my neighbors unit directly next to mine. No mesh systems required here. The performance is insane and you have complete control via the app and super easy to setup . I highly recommend this unit.

Bought a new netgear router, the rax50. Installation had some difficulties (nighthawk was not working on xiaomi a1 2.4 ghz), so went back to genie (please keep it). After that it went smooth. On two elder products, my mobile phone and lenovo laptop, the 2.4 ghz didnot work. Switch out the ax option and after that it went alright. Typical that you cannot use the ax option on and older devices.

So far I have not had any streaming issues or lagging videos since installing the nighthawk, I was using the cable companies router and videos would constantly have to buffer, not anymore. Also I love how I can remove Wi-Fi access from visitors, I love being able to see my kids internet usage and which sites they go to at any point during the day. Definitely should have purchased this years ago.

As the title says I hate myself because for a while I’ve herd and seen reviews on the Nighthawk line of routers and only until recently have I finally purchased one and it completely passed beyond all my needs and expectations with extremely simple setup with the app and I was up and running in under 10min which was surprisingly fast as I had 9 WiFi devices and 7 WiFi lights and a WiFi security cam previously linked to another router and I didn’t have to do a thing cause everything just synced right in. I’m going on record stating that from now on I will only use and always recommend Netgear Nighthawk
