The router also includes five Gigabit Ethernet ports, four of which connect to computers, gaming consoles, and other compatible devices. Connect an external storage drive to the available USB 3.0 Type-A port to back up and share data locally across your network. The Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 sets up quickly through the Nighthawk mobile app, and you can issue voice commands to the router through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Your network is secured with both wireless encryption and the Netgear Armor multi-layered cybersecurity system, which protects devices against viruses, malware, and other online threats.

The newer model AX6 netgear night hawk is way faster then our previous night hawk. The range is amazing. We went another night hawk because we have a 8500 sqft house. And we can connect to it anywhere in our house. We can stream on every device and tv in our house and it does not affect the wireless at all. No buffering anywhere. We recommend this to anyone that is looking for the best!

I thoroughly enjoy the throughput of the device. However, basic functionality of a wireless router is completely missing from the smart phone app. Even the simple capability of hiding the SSID cannot be accomplished through the smartphone app. About the only thing that can be done through the smartphone app is set up the wireless and agree to sign up for add on features for additional costs.

Replaced cable company router and WiFi extenders with just Netgear nighthawk RAX50 and the coverage is great! I have no complaining kids anymore regarding WiFi. The range covers my 2,900 sq foot house from basement to 2nd floor and outside from the backyard pool to front yard extremely well. Easy to set up using app instructions on phone. One week using it and have had no glitches. Well done Netgear!
