This dual-band wireless router supports the 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard and uses OFDMA technology to communicate with multiple connected devices simultaneously across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. With the Nighthawk AX6 AX5400, you’ll have the wireless bandwidth you need to stream 4K video, video chat, and play online games. Its four high-performance antennas use Beamforming to help ensure strong connections and long range, making it ideal for medium to large homes. The router also includes five Gigabit Ethernet ports, four of which connect to computers, gaming consoles, and other compatible devices. Connect an external storage drive to the available USB 3.0 Type-A port to back up and share data locally across your network. The Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 sets up quickly through the Nighthawk mobile app, and you can issue voice commands to the router through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Your network is secured with both wireless encryption and the Netgear Armor multi-layered cybersecurity system, which protects devices against viruses, malware, and other online threats.

The router is fast and has good coverage and not to hard to setup. But after hours of of trying to connect my usb connected drive to ReadyCLOUD app without success. Spending a couple hours and sessions with tech support to find out for some reason this more expensive and 8 or so years newer router then my netgear r7000 that ad no problem connecting to ReadyCLOUD this router doesn’t support it. Beyond that it a good router so far.

Got the Nighthawk AX6 router and I’ve had it for about a week now. Even though it looks like an alien space ship I can’t help but like it’s sleek design and ability to take on a heavy work load. I usually game online while my daughter and wife stream on tv and this thing doesn’t miss a beat. I’m very happy with my purchase and am looking forward to testing its capabilities even further. Two thumbs up for this item… but it doesn’t come with the cow.
