The Nighthawk AX6 AX5400 sets up quickly through the Nighthawk mobile app, and you can issue voice commands to the router through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Your network is secured with both wireless encryption and the Netgear Armor multi-layered cybersecurity system, which protects devices against viruses, malware, and other online threats.

Frustrated by the gimmicky design, firmware, and app. Not good value for the money… lots of options left out, like additional or virtual wireless networks. Add in instability and broken Smart Connect and it just doesn’t make sense. Returning this and not going to buy NetGear wireless products again.

Thought i was upgrading but the signal is not as strong as my old nighthawk ac1900 even on the 2.4ghz band. i bought a “mesh” range extender (also netgear) to go with it and it was a pain to set up. had a lot of trial and error with different settings and locations. i blame the extender for most of the confusion. The automatic switching from 2.4ghz to 5ghz option on the router would not work with the range extender so i had to set it to be separate. Still can’t use 5ghz on my phone because the range is so much shorter and doesn’t reach to the areas i was hoping for. i did get wifi 6 5g to my living room tv, which was the main goal of upgrading i guess. every 2 days or so since i’ve gotten this i’ve had to do hard resets on the router. old router was maybe once per month. as far as quality goes, i feel this was a downgrade from my old ac1900 nighthawk router.

This is an excellent, hassle free and reliable product! The installation was simple and have no issues with connectivity. As a bonus, it comes with free anti-virus software that can be protect any device connected to the network. The router is pricey, but it will be sustainable for years to come!
