Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

I bought this to replace a 5-yr old cable modem provided by spectrum. Fairly easy to set up, had to make a 15 minute call to spectrum so that they could update and recognize my new cable modem. I bought this because of all the streaming devices that we have in the house. Now that there are two adults working from home, and a daughter taking online classes from the community college, we needed something a little more hardy. I have had it hooked up for about two weeks now, not one single problem. There are four of us, and if we are all streaming at night, there is no delay. Worth the money, and it even gives better coverage than my previous one, I have a 3500 sq.ft. house, and I still get wifi and signal outside when working in the yard. I would recommend.

This is a very nice router. Before we got this router we were having problems with connecting to the internet when someone was on playing games. This router gives us the capability to have capability to have multiple users on the internet without interuptions!

I used the Nighthawk EAX80 to extend the WiFi6 coverage throughout my 3600 Sq Ft home. The XBox and PS4 downstairs are wired in to it directly and now have the same high speed input as the my primary PC upstairs, which is consistently over 1 GB! Moreover, the setup was as simple as it can get! Finally, because my new mesh network operates with just the one name and password, all device connections are easy to make and manage.

I have owned quite a few modems and routers over they years and combination modem-routers and so far the Netgear Nighthawk Cable Modem WiFi 6 Router is the best one i have ever owned. Its as fast as you would ever need it to be and hooking up with the Nighthawk new software makes it even easier to set up you equipment and also protects it from hackers. Great product, keep up the improvements coming. Looking forward to all the new stuff that will be coming down the road, soon i hope.

I have been using the Netgear Ax8 router for couple weeks now. I can definitely say the internet speed has drastically improved. I was using a AC router before and I use multiple smart devices along my computers and mobile devices. I was seeing lag and buffering before. With this new router, there is no buffering and lag when I watch movies and YouTube etc. the only problem I noticed is, my google home somehow keeps getting disconnected and needs to connect back. Not sure if it’s a bug in Netgear or in Google home. Never had that problem with my previous router. Definitely recommend this router if you need good speeds and consistency.
