Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Works very well in the ap node. it increased my download speed 2-3x times with the same modem. One drawback is that its limited to 1gb for attaching external hard drives.

I purchase a new EAX80 to help extend the signal from my also newly purchased AXE7800. These two devices combined provide the perfect coverage for all of my needs. Very stable and strong signal around the house, garage, front and back yard. And with the one network option I don’t have to jump from from one SSID to another. This is exactly what I was looking to accomplish. Now I can stream videos anywhere.

Router signal is weak.I lose my internet connection during games and online meetings. Must subscribe to annual service to benefit from the security features. Router price doesn’t match performance. Highly disappointed. Will not be buying another net gear product in the future.

Overall, I really like this cable modem. It delivers consistent speeds, up to what my plan provides. The WiFi has great range and is also super speedy. Overall, I think this modem is a great investment. Now I don’t have to worry about random people parking outside my house so that they can get on the open xfinity network!

Not happy with this unit at this time. I have just under 100MPS coming into the router, yet standing right next to it, the I am only getting about 35-40mps on my phone. It worked great the first day, I actually hit in the 80’s. But after just a couple days, it dropped and streaming on TV has become a huge disappointment

I bought this modem specifically for gaming and having multiple devices connected to it at once. I really thought it wouldn’t hold up, but I was proven wrong! A total of 7 devices were connected and not once did we have interruptions or connectivity issues! Out of all the modem/ routers I have purchased in the past, this right here would be the best I’ve ever had. Having also armor activated is a life saver. My kids watch YouTube and when ads come up with links armor comes on and blocks them due to scams. I really recommend getting the nighthawk cable modem WiFi 6 router combo. For reliability and safety!

Excellent Product! I had no issues setting this up on my iphone app. Can this be done on windows PC? I did find older devices that did not work on the 5GHZ connection speed. Should I still use both 2.4 GHZ for all devices? Does it know which devices use or must each device be configured separately on the router? any way I do see videos working much better on this extender than the linksys one had before. highly recommend this!
