Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The AX8 is more capable than any router I’ve had in the past and that’s including all Netgear routers I’ve had in the past as well! With 2, 4K tv’s streaming from Netflix, two phones and gaming on PC there are no bottlenecks whatsoever! Definitely worth the money even though it’s hard to swallow at first haha

This modem-router was a replacement for another Nighthawk modem-router from 7 years ago. Let’s hope this one lasts that long. It was very easy to install and required very little time to get it up and running. I am not sure I am a big fan of the app yet. I don’t see myself paying for that, especially. Nonetheless, I am, so far, very happy with this as an upgrade. My ISP subscription is 500 mb/s and my speed tests are consistently 530-540ish. I have not noticed any dead spots or gaps in coverage. I think this is a good device so far. I wish you luck with your wireless adventures.

I recently purchased a Wi-Fi 6 router and I decided to replace an old Netgear extender (AC1950) which had an issue where a light burned out. I’ve been looking for a good extender for a replacement and I decided I would try out the EAX80. One of the reasons I went with this product was reviewing the specs and seeing how much more network bandwidth this could support over the other similar model the EAX20. Having it plugged in under my desk and using it via ethernet, it has exceeded all of my expectations and I am getting faster speeds than with the old extender. This extender basically makes it so I can attain next-to-router speeds almost anywhere in my house. I would definitely recommend this extender and other Netgear extenders I’ve purchased over the last few years as they have always exceeded my expectations and have been compatible with differing routers.

This cutting-edge router was very simple to set up. All I did was plug it in and called my ISP to initialize it. The quick setup guide was well written. I called their technical support number because it was taking a while for the router to work. They were very polite and helpful.
