Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

I recently bought NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6 Mesh Range Extender (EAX80) to get wifi across my large house and wow, I’m so glad it did! This thing works great! Manages for push access across 6 big rooms on the floors it’s on, upstairs into 4 rooms including an 2 outside decks, AND the entire huge basement through 2 thick concrete exterior walls to my outside patio. I’m thrilled with what this thing can do. Oh and the extra ports are very handy. If you have a large space with hard to reach areas, this is the wifi extender you need.

Nighthawk RAX120 is an inferior product for the money. Internet drops. Some devices don’t connect. Service is a joke. Same thing: unplug, down power, hard reset then directed to new tech and phone mysteriously disconnects. I’ve owned seven Netgear routers over the years but this Nighthawk RAX 120 and Netgear service are trash.

Great router. They replaced our modem on the same day I got the Nighthawk AX12. Set up was reasonably easy once I downloaded the APP. Speeds have been extremely fast according to the APP. I updated the firmware remotely! That was cool. It looks a lot like a stealth bomber at 1/16 scale.

I switched to the RAX80 And could not be happier After powering it up and getting the basics configured it has been steady as a rock. I am still figuring out a few things, but everything connects to the 1gig internet without a problem
