Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

As far as I know everything works great. I really havent seen an increase in wifi signal, as the EAX80 was added to my mesh system.

Had the standard 1Gb modem from Cablevision – had nothing but problems with it. Constantly dropping connection, dopping to single Mb speeds, constant reboots needed. Decided to invest and get something that would fix it – Nighthawk is amazing. Constant gig speeds, WiFi range that far exceeded the ISP’s offering. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Set up was easy! Took about 10-15mins. At first I had to redo seeing it up but realized the service provider for the modem equipment was the reason for difficulties. I purchased news modem (from nighthawk) and it’s been running smooth ever since. Tripled my speeds! Thanks Netgear!
