Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Our pool controls only work through a WiFi app. The pool device was at the back of our yard with a weak signal, so we couldn’t count on it. With the new Nighthawk RAX120, we gained two bands of WiFi signal and our pool has stayed connected. The signal strength inside our house went to full strength.

Great things come to those who are patient. This is great for cutting the cord. Does not support home phone service but who needs those anyway. Worked great with Comcast and the initial setup was a breeze. Future proof your internet and stream at lightning fast speeds. If your devices are older you may need to upgrade but this does support older versions just not as fast.

In all honesty, this thing is a beast. We’re a family of 5 with every room having a TV and every person having a phone and computer. I myself have 3 and 1 of them is a gaming machine. My wired speeds consistently hit 1Gbps and wireless Im getting between 400-600Mbps and I love it. It’s effortless with this guy and it has room to grow with all the Gigabit ports on the back. Highly recommend this modem router

Super simple set up. Already had existing Netgear Nighthawk modem I connected to through the app. My modem was in the basement running gig speeds and the second floor always had spotty signal. The range extender definitely helps. Haven’t had any issues so far with connection.

I purchased this router hoping to get a top of the line unit. It matches all the specs but then slowly I noticed issues across the board. It started with enabling Dynamic DNS. The router would lose internet every 5 minutes and require a restart until eventually not working at all. We contact support, support hangs up on us mid call right after factory resetting the router while I’m out of town. Issue continues to happen. I login to the router and look at the logs for 2 minutes and identify it’s a DDNS issue. Disable DDNS and the router works fine now. Buggy buggy buggy!
