Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Easy to install ,it has exceptional range from the basement suite to the furthast point in our 3500 sq’ home. The only issue I have is the connectivity to 2.4 G when in the Auto mode . I had to open 2.4 seperatately in the router to connect to my 2.4 G devices (won’t auto connect when in auto 5.0 as stated) . 6g wifi is working great on all supported devices .

I replaced my 15 year old WiFi router with the nighthawk. I was experiencing problems when I had more than 2 devices online at a time. Now I can watch streaming sports with streaming music on and be online with my tablet with absolutely no connection/buffering issues. Love this thing!

I am amazed by how well this router performs. I do a lot of 4K streaming and online gaming and this router makes that simultaneously possible. I can have multiple devices connected at the same time and running at the same time and will not affect the load speed or quality. Beyond impressed with the experience so far, set up was quick and painless all thanks to their mobile app. The Netgear Armor is also a very neat feature and has already stopped and notified me of potential threats in real time. I will definitely be subscribing to this service and I recommend it.

Unique design and great wired speed but no range on it. Barely reaches living room which is 100ft away on either 2.4 or 5 and I know 5 is more for speed but for a router this expensive I expected more. I am using fiber for internet. I could use a gift certificate to go towards another device 🙂

I finally got rid of old apple router and went with this thinking it would future proof my needs–at least for a while. Worked fine for about 2 months, then kept losing connection on 5ghz band…now unless I’m standing next to the router I can only get 2.4GHz…5GHz comes in for a few seconds and then gone…totally frustrating

I noticed a great difference in speed after installing this. However I do experience random disconnections from the internet and I’m wired into it. I had gone through initial setup and it was mostly a pain to get my phone to connect. There’s a few other issues too with the app and repeater setup I did not like but other than that it’s doing way better than the other ones I’ve tried so far.

Works great. I have it in an outbuilding that is about 100 feet from the main house and i have all bars. The only downside is that it is set up only for use on a table or shelf and there is no way to mount it to a wall.
