Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This netgear nighthawk CAX80 wifi 6 modem router is very easy to set up with comcast Xfinity. It has been a week now and there has been no disconnect. My current plan is 600mbps and I am getting the full speed with ethernet cable or wifi. I think the fastest Xfinity plan is 1200mbps and I am certain this modem router will definitely give that speed since it has 1 ethernet port that is rated up to 2.5gbps and the other 4 ports is 1gbps each. Wifi should provide up to that speed also as long as your device is wifi 6. Very happy with this netgear nighthawk wifi 6 CAX80.

This replace another router I had, it was simple to set up with my provider, gave them the router information and 10 minutes later I was on the web. The set up software for the home internet was also easy to do and I had no problems getting all my devices to connect up

I have had this extender for about 2 years now and it has worked wonderfully. I use this for a wired connection on my pc while the extender connect to the home wifi. The fact that I get incredible speeds from both its 2.4 and 5ghz…. if one fails the other picks it up never loosing connection was a nice surprise for me. For wifi devices its works just like any other router and easy to set up and connect.

I purchased several other extenders prior to the NetGear. Let me tell you, I wish I would have purchased this first! Setup was so easy. I followed along with the guided setup via the app. Once setup I moved it to my desired location in my home. We can now connect our phones, stream, and run our laptops in EVERY room of the house. Before we would drop calls, buffer, be unable to connect in our office. I highly recommend this extender.

Get good at understanding router settings. The app doesn’t work and may never work. Dropping from two separate pieces of hardware to one is amazing. The speeds I get on download are twice what my previous modem or an ISP provided modem could handle. Two channels for customizing your network.

Orbis are more straightforward with setup and the app. Nighthawks are always painful to set up and its app is more than painful. There is always something. Like right now, I have no idea what’s going on with it. Accessing support starts with a ticket generated from the app. Getting Support is a pain. I don’t want to waste so much time with Support for what?

I have multiple devices connected and have not had any dropped connections. I got this mainly for the TV that have Fire Sticks connected. I went from a marginal signal to very good signal. The main TV (4k) now streams without dropping or pausing the program content. The ability to stream to multiple devices (4) without it interfering with each other is a big plus.

I was really excited when I bought it. I thought it would give up the signal strength we needed for our household size/property. But after a few weeks of having it, I am a bit disappointed. Inside the house is great but outside it’s the same as the router I replaced. Very disappointed I spent all the extra money did not reason at all.
