Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This Nighthawk modem increased my pc from 75 mbps to 335 mbps and my wifi from 30 to 105. You might need to keep a fire extinguisher handy with this unit. Very pleased and easy to install.

I have been eyeing the CAX80 for some time as an upgrade to my C7000v2. The time came as the C7000 gave up the ghost and stopped working, so I pulled the trigger and should have pulled that trigger a while ago.

Straight forward installation. Easy to follow instructions (both iOS iPhone app and client from Mac). However, the iPhone app still needs work (loses connections, is slow, etc.)

I am not able to speak about any of the features of this router as it never worked. As another reviewer wrote (I didn’t read until after I had purchased) this does NOT work with WOW! Internet. After 8+ hours of trouble shooting and multiple calls back and forth between WOW! and Netgear. Where WOW! is saying it is a Netgear issue and Netgear telling me it is an issue with WOW! And After two brand new units I was not able to get this item up and running. Returning this asap and will be exploring other options as this is essentially a paperweight at this point.
