Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The device was very easy to set up and took very little time. It is sleek and minimal so it’s not in the way. It’s allowed me to stream ESPN without buffering anymore. Only issue is when we had a storm but its likely the wifi itself not the extender

I work in cybersecurity and I’m very impressed with the Netgear Armor integration for this device. I can’t speak to the longevity as I only set it up this week, but the set up was very smooth through the app and the online portal. I have a 1300sqft townhome and I was running into weak zones in the opposite corner of the lower floor. We were getting 30Mbps max with the ISP BGW210, and with the RAX120 I’m getting 150Mbps minimum in that location. The router itself is pushing 940Mbps up and 935Mbps down, and 500Mbps to my HTC U11 on 5Ghz. Pretty impressive! The paired Bit Defender Total Security is also a great product, and I’m happy to see these two companies come together for a whole-home solution. This seems very minor, but I have the router in my bedroom, so the little switch to turn off the LED indicator lights is genius, thanks for the little things Netgear.

very easy to setup, rougher is extremely fast. matched with my 1gig internet my speed is about 890 megs wired and around 750 megs on wifi. the speed drops off quickly the further you get from the router but I can sustain a good speed in my 1300sf house.
